A Love Beyond

75-year-old Raymond lives alone but goes in every day to visit his wife Sally at Northside nursing home. Sally has later stages dementia. Sally rarely seems aware of Raymond’s presence anymore. Raymond, however, is as dedicated as ever to his wife of more than 50 years. He knows their love has not gone away; it is only temporarily hidden. Raymond works at keeping connection points between he and Sally. One of those points is in the reading of books. Raymond barrows a book to read to Sally and finds himself falling into the life of the main character.

Mitchel of Danforth is a highwayman back in medieval times. Raymond joins with Mitchel sharing Mitchel’s body. This brings some difficulties leading to fun as well as a bond between the two of them. Raymond and Mitchel join in some adventures that include rescuing a beautiful maiden named Anna.

Raymond’s Christian life has an impact on the man Mitchel becomes. But the challenges and choices are not just for Mitchel. Raymond also has to make choices in regard to what real love means.
